Shipping & Returns
Your order can be shipped via FedEx or UPS. If you prefer to have your order shipped via USPS we can make arrangements to do so. Please call us at 818-566-6526, or Toll Free at 877-566-6526.
We will make every effort to ship your purchased products as soon as possible. Please note that some items may be out of stock at the time of purchase. If this is the case, we will contact you as soon as possible to inform you of the status of your order. By using this site, you acknowledge that delivery dates are estimates only. Audio Department will not be held responsible for items received past the estimated delivery date.
All items are insured during transit at full retail value. If you do not require shipping insurance please make a note in the comment box upon checkout.
Payment must be received before any items will be released for shipment. You may apply for standard credit terms by completing a Credit/Terms Application. Please see our FAQ section for additional payment information.
We want you to be happy with your purchase! If there is a problem with your product we would love the chance to make it right. If you have simply changed your mind please read the guidelines below to determine if your purchase is eligible for return.
Condition of all returns will be under the sole discretion of Audio Department. Audio Department must be notified within 3 days of receipt of shipment if you would like to request a refund. In order to return any item, a return authorization number must first be issued. Items approved for a refund will be issued a return authorization number and must be received back within 20 days of the date of authorization.
In order to be eligible for return, all items must be unused and in original packaging. All refunds will be issued by check within 2 weeks once the item has been received and inspected. Audio Department reserves the right to extend the return period for an item that is determined to be defective.
The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges including duties and taxes. Audio Department will not be held responsible for any returns lost in transit.
Items that have been specially ordered may not be eligible for return. Please contact us regarding your specific item to determine if it is eligible for return. Re-stocking fees may apply and may vary by manufacturer.
Expendable items are not eligible for return. Audio Department reserves the right to determine what constitutes an expendable item. Some expendable items include: batteries, media, tape, lavaliere and transmitter accessories, cleaning supplies, and walkie talkie accessories. This list is to serve as an example and is not a complete list of all items considered to be expendables.
Custom cables are not eligible for return. When placing a custom cable order it is the customer's responsibility to accurately describe the desired cable including details such as color, length and specific usage (for example: blue @ 24" Sound Devices 664 Tape Out to Lectrosonics SMQv). If possible, we may be able to re-wire the cable to suit another piece of equipment. If this is the case an additional charge may apply.
